Filipino Beef Picadillo/Giniling Recipe
This family favorite Filipino dish is super quick and easy to make. It is a versatile recipe as more veggies can be added to make it more healthy! Enjoy it over rice or make a nice, healthy salad!

- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 yellow onion diced
- 4 cloves garlic crushed
- ½ bell pepper diced
- ½ cup green peas
- 1 carrot diced
- 1 potato or rutabaga diced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- salt and pepper to taste
Saute garlic and onion with potato/rutabaga.
Add ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the beef is no longer pink.
Add remaining ingredients. Cover and cook until the vegetables are soft.
Salt and pepper to taste. Serve over rice and enjoy!
