Homemade Ketchup in 20 Minutes

With a handful of ingredients, you can have your very own homemade ketchup in 20 minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ cup white vinegar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • tsp garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients.
  • Over medium heat, whisk until smooth.
  • When it comes to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often.
  • Remove from heat. Cover and allow to cool. Place in storage containers and store in the refrigerator for up to 6 months.

Notes

Add whey to prolong shelf-life.
Omit sugar and just have honey as the sweetener.
